I was born in Memphis, TN Mar 15, 1923. Went to Louisiana State University….hence the nickname "oldtiger" from the LSU mascot. Pearl Harbor occured while I was attending LSU, so I couldnt wait and enlisted in the army. Became a "Texan" in 1943 and was married in July 1944. Was in the European Theater with the 15th USArmy Headquarters and was in the Military Intelligence reserves for a while. Was in the Casualty Insurance business for 28 years. We have a daughter and a son , and three grandkids, the oldest being 27! Was permitted to take early retirement, did home inspections as I was supposed to be away from the house…..my wife May, said she married me for better or worse, but not for lunch. Have had many hobbies….photography, computers, woodworking , and yes, even have done some painting for fun…."der magic brush" technique.
